Poetic Corner Spot For Pizza

When I hear a place mentioned a couple of times in one week, it causes me to stop and listen – especially when the restaurant is neither new nor fancy. Having recently moved back from New York City, I've been lamenting the dearth of decent pizza in Orlando, and people keep confidently mentioning Cornerstone Pizza, a dive-y joint on Michigan Street, at the corner of Ferncreek Avenue. My appetite for a slice was keen.

One of my guilty pleasures is a good ol' hot dog, smeared with mustard and topped with sauerkraut. When I heard of All American Hot Dogs, it was mere days before I found my way to Waterford Lakes Town Center to give it a try. This east-side stand takes a dedicated dog eater to find it, hidden in the amalgam of commerce just a stone's throw from UCF.

No Sidewalk But Still a Comfort Zone

Pulling up to the shopping plaza at the corner of Sand Lake Road and Orange Blossom Trail, it becomes apparent that Camille's Sidewalk Café has no sidewalk. Well, there is a strip of pavement out in front scattered with tables. But Camille's has never been associated with real sidewalks – sigh – it's just another marketing ploy.
